Wearable objects

The Metallsmiths materials are all types of metall (Gold, Silver, Platinum, Copper, Brass, Nickel, Alumninum etc.) and organic materials (Wood, Antler, Tusk), as well as Glass, Plastics, Rubber or Paper, which carry their own density, melting points and appearance. Handtools for shaping, drilling, chiseling, sawing, filing, forging and shallow forming are just a few to name and to master. Soldering, welding, etching and engraving are amongst the ways to treat the material and the surface. Often, the goldsmith would customize hand tools or create them from scratch. Moulds (Ingot and Charcoal Molds, Plaster and cuttlefish Molds, Sand) serve as negative forms that provide casting containers. Gem stones can be set in various ways, from raised bezels for round or oval Cabouchons, to Gypy settings or Turtle and Basket Settings, from Channel settings to Pavé settings. Setting gemstone is a profession in its own right.
